"I did get your note, from the day you left. You always said you kept your emotions in check, so I had no idea you even felt that way. I didn't realize I did myself until I thought about it, I'd never loved anyone since Peggy, before I went into the ice seventy years ago. I guess all that time, I forgot what it felt like, but you reminded me Anna" Steve said softly. "Look, I'm not saying this to try to sway your choice to leave, and I won't force you to stay, even though I'd like you to. All I ask if that you consider the possibility while you're here, please" Steve added softly.

Then she gets home and assumed you moved on from her, and she didn't want to make things worse than they already were. Hell, that necklace mom left for her, she gave to me. You know why? Because she thought she'd lost you Buck, and she was hurt, so she gave it to someone who could hopefully pass it down one day because she thinks she can't!" He somewhat yelled. "Bucky, you're the only one she's ever had eyes for, she's terrified to say something and mess it up again like that night. And she didn't leave because of you, she left to try and figure out who she is, to see the world as it's become now, so that she could come back and be with you, but then she met Lucy and that all fell apart for her" Steve said more calmly. "What was it...that Lucy wanted, that you can't give her?" He asked as he walked closer to his best friend.
