Under Fury's orders, she stays with the Avengers keeping tabs on things to report back to Fury, especially her reckless brother.

Cecelia sighed as she came back tot he compund after a failur eof a launch date. She ahd been openly dating for the last few years, and so far.. it tanked everytime… she of course had a cover story, saying that she worked with the FBI, which.. wasnt a total lie persay. SHEILD did work with the fbi somtimes… but it seemed everytime she said that,or said he worked in politics or in the stock market, men.. would get.. weird… they were looking more for. Atrophy girl to parade aorund and she was not that person…she sighed softly as sshe raided the booze cabinet, and grabebd whatever was infornt and sat ont he ouch and drank formt he bottle, not caring at all as she looked up at he bland ceiling ‘’i hate people…’’ she muttered before tkaing a long drink. It also didnt help her life that not only was she a head agent in SHEILD but she was also Nick Fury’s daughter… it was a standard that was hard to live by sometimes…
James, aka Bucky, had been living a hellish life for a long time before steve decided to butt in and elt him out… it had been literal decades,since the two say each toher.. let alone fought side by side.. it took a while to get use to being not in HYDRA, o having your ehad messed with.. his mind wasnt the best anymore… well.. to be fair it never really was great.. his memories now were jumbled, specially his memories about his life before hydra. He didnt really remember his fmaily.. memories with steve before everything happened were jumbled up. And now he often got hellish nightmares about a lot of the horrible things he had done. But.. he was.. working on it. They’ve of course helped. And it helped both of them to be reunited with eahc other agian, to have someone formt heir era with them in this new one. He didnt mind some members of the team.but for the most part bucky kept to himself. That day he was sitting outside, he had a couple books about the 21st century next to him,it helped to read about this new era he was in and he was slowly learning how things worked aorund here.
Tony had given up on Malibu after his home was attacked, that was a year before the whole ordeal in New York with Loki, which basically gave him night terrors and insomnia, but facing Killian Altridge, he finally faced his fear of the unknown and destroyed all but one iron man suit. It hadn't been an easy time for Tony, especially when he felt like he still had to look after his sister, which she insisted she was an adult, then again Tony was more childish on a good day most of the time. Tony was in the compound that day and passing through the living room when he heard a quiet voice. Tony took a couple steps backwards to see it was Cecilia and Tony rose a brow. "Rough morning?" He asked as he turned towards her. "Wait, weren't you out on some lunch date? Let me guess, he's terrible" he tried to joke with her.
Lillian had grown up in New York most of her life. When her parents died in 1991, she was only ten at the time. Her brother was barely home as it was. After their will was read, Tony being twenty one was granted custody of his sister, but she was raised mostly by the maids or hired nannies. When Lily turned eighteen, she got the Stark town house, and sold it, it had too many memories for her, not so good ones after what happened to her parents. With Tony being the CEO of Stark Industries, Lily was scouted by Nick Fury and intrigued by her different personality than that of her brother, plus she had served in both the Peace Core and as a CIA agent. Lily joined SHIELD at young age of twenty one herself, learning from some of the best and becoming a better shot and a better agent altogether. That day Steve had to leave the compound and with Fury's added recommendation, asked Lily to keep an eye on Bucky. She found him sitting outside as he seemed to usually do and walked up beside where he sat. "Whatchya readin'?" She asked.
Cecelia sighed and looked at tony ‘’the guy collected stamps…. And broguht them with him…and his mother’’ she stated with a deadly look on her face ‘’his mother… tony… i could forgive the stamps.. i could.. i could look past.. but his mother.. his god damn mother… that.. is unforgivable’’ she stated before tkaing another big drink ‘’i mean who does that!? The is 30! And broguht his mother! Thank god for Happy though, im sure from his. View he could see how annoyed i was and got me out of there before the appetizers came’’ she stated and sighed… ‘’ im seriously never gonna find anyone to be with… never.. im gonna grow old and alone with like 100 cats.. its gonna happen…’’ she ranted ‘’I mena.. im not picky! All I want is a connection with someone. .thats it.. thats all.. and instead i get matched with a guy who brings his mother on dates… at this point im just gonna let my dad arrange a marriage for me and be doe with it!’’ She stated and groaned again.
One thing no one could figure out, was how Lillian could get bucky to smile everytime. Bucky himself even found it odd, but out of everyone aorund, even steve, Bucky liked the girl.. she was.. refreshing, even if he knew that fury assigned her to him. ‘’History. Thats wht im reading.. been catching up on some events.. some that i know i was secretly in coed in that the books got wrong…’’ he siad showing her some of the notes he wrote on the pages of some fo the chapters. ‘’the ‘therapist’ fury gave me said if i read about history, the stuff ive missed, it’ll help ‘ease. Me into society’. In other words, i wont be as big a freak when i see somethign i dont understand’’ he stated and chuckled ‘’pull up a chair, its nice out. For not. Storms gonna come in in about three hours though’’ he stated as he looked back at the book he was writting notes in ‘’what are you up to? Other than doing as fury told you to by checking in on me?’’ He asked and looked at her, seeing the look on her face ‘’come on Lillian… you and i both know youre only speaking to me caus eof your job.. its cool though. Im not offended by it’’ He teased, bucky was nowadays a pretty cold and distant guy.. even with steve at times, not a lot of the ‘old’ bucky shined throguh a lot. But it had its moments when he was in a more relaxed state of mind instead of being on red alert all the time.
Tony sat a bit on the edge of the back of the couch and stole the bottle from Cecilia when she finished her rant, taking a look at the label before taking a drink of it, blinking as Cece stole it back from him. "Have you ever considered speed dating? I've never done it myself but I hear it's an interesting way to meet multiple people" he asked. "But i agree, to bring your mother on a date with you, what is he? Five? Needs a chaperone? Definitely a man child you'd just end up replacing his mother one day instead of being a partner..." he somewhat rambled. "Well you can have your hundred cats, I'll have my hundred more suits, if I make more" he teased at her with a smile.
When Bucky showed her the notes he was making and offered for her to join him, she sat down in the grass beside him and crossed her legs. Lily was about to say something until Bucky mentioned Fury's detail she had and she clamped her mouth shut again. Lily sighed and moved some hair behind her ear "Okay for the record Barnes, I'm not talking to you because of Fury. If I was simply following his orders I'd just be standing off to the side keeping an eye on you. Steve asked me today to make sure you were okay since he had to go into New York. So no, speaking to you is MY terms, not theirs" she teased a bit at him. Although the whole team knew she was here to be Fury's eyes and ears and home base if Hill wasn't around during a mission, but she was no Avenger. "Besides, I know you're going through alot, more than most of the others here, and if there's anything I can do to help, that's what I'm here for. Another item of my own terms, mostly" she joked as she somewhat nudged his shoulder with hers.
Cecelia laughed a bit and got up from her seat ‘’I’d rather take you and your 100 suits over a guy bringing his mother along. Any day of the week’’ she stated as she slipped off her heels and walked over tot he kitchen arena, setting the booze onthe counter as she opened. The firdge and grabbed a fruit salad she had made earlier incase she didnt eat on ehr date. She sighed and pulled out a fork for herslef and. Hopped onto the counter and started picking at the salad. She stood on tthe counter slowly pacing it before she continued on ‘’i mean at the very least your suits are far mroe intersting than hearing a guys mom complain about his lack of dating skills.. ‘’ she stated ‘’and no speed dating iii have tried it. Nuh uh.. terrible idea because once it’s done you can hardley remember the guys you’ve talked to, let alone figure out if youre actually interested in dating one of them. ‘’ she stated as she spun herself aorund and walked back the other way on the counter as she ate.
Bucky scoffed a bit and chuckled ‘’alright, alright.. my bad. Sorry’’ he stated and chuckled a bit as he set. The bookmark he had insid eof the book so he didnt lose his spot. ‘’But technically, you’re still here because someone asked you to be… ‘’ he stated correcting her missed error ‘’but ill let it slide.. foor now’’ he added and chuckled as Lilian threw him a look. When she mentioned him going throguh stuff he side and looked down at. The book ‘’honestly…. I wouldn’t say its a lot..its more… missed opportunities… reading about all the stuff thats gone on since the 40’s, its mad eme rrealize ive missed. Mroe tha i thoguht.. if i hadnt been taken by hydra… i would have e lived a pretty long life like Peggy, Steve’s.. whatever she was.... had.. i coud have had a family.. died happily… instead… i was turned into a killing machine and spent the last 70 ish years under mind control by hydra… coming out of that.. is… more.. weird. Than it is hard…. I just keep thinking about the ‘what ifs’ and according to that therapist thats ‘not a healthy habbit’. ‘’ he stated and shook his head a bit before pushing his hair form his face.
Tony quickly changed into one of his more casual suits, the man barely wore much else on a regular basis anyways. He hurried to the garage and got a set of keys from a lock box just as he heard heels clicked on the concrete flooring. "Right on time" he said, pushing the unlock button to one of his cars and walked over to it with Cecilia, opening the passenger door for her. "Ladies first" he said with a cheeky smile. Once she was in, Tony quickly went to the driver's side and got in as he sped out of the garage. "Rule one, don't ask where, because I'm not telling" he teasingly warned her.
When Bucky mentioned having doubts on finding someone to love, for some reason, Lillian's heart sank into the pit of her stomach. She'd only known Bucky a few weeks but she'd always seemed intrigued by him. Sure she'd dated guys before but nothing had ever turned any form of serious out of it. "Well from what Steve told me, Shuri wants to focus on Hydra's brainwashing, at least get you semi normal without anyone using German trigger words" she began. But before Lily could continue, her phone buzzed, seeing it was a message from Fury basically firing her as an agent and keeping her at the compound because her real identity had been discovered. "Dammit!" Lily cursed and threw her phone. "Well....that's just...great" she muttered and got up. "Sorry Bucky, I guess I'm not on any detail anymore" she said and went to go back inside.
